On April 21, 2025, a delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, led by Mr. Philaxay MANILACK, Head of the REDD Division, along with the heads of forestry departments from Luang Prabang and Oudomxay Provinces, visited Carbon Registry (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in Bangkok to observe and learn about the operations related to forest carbon stock assessment using satellite technology. The delegation also received a briefing on the sustainable forest management plan implemented throughout the carbon credit project.
During the visit, the provincial forestry heads expressed strong interest and intention to apply and expand the sustainable forest management plan within their respective areas.
The project is currently being implemented in Vientiane Province, Lao PDR, under a carbon credit initiative that covers more than 170,000 hectares of forest land.
