Requirements for Carbon Credit Verification

Clean and Clear Ownership

  • The land or property must have clean ownership.
  • Never been used for carbon credit.
  • Never sign out concession to others.
  • At least 10 years of clear ownership (or rights to use).

Land Size

  • The property should be approx.1000 hectares in order to process.
  • It can be bundled in a group of projects such as 10 pieces of land with 100 hectares each.
  • The smaller piece of land can be in same province, preferably nearby.

Time

  • The trees on the property must at least stay uncut for 10 years, except special plantation such as Sugar Cane, which we pledge to replant for at least 10 years in a row.

Natural Base Projects that Qualify for Carbon Credit

All kinds of forest including natural forest, protected forest, man-made forest (reforestation).

All kinds of Plantations: Rubber, Sugar Cane, all kinds of fruit trees.

Farming Plantation such as Chili plantation, Banana, Papaya, etc.

Terminated Deforestation or Logging Concession.

Best projects including but not limited to Mangroves, Bamboo.

Steps of Getting Carbon Credit

Fill up Basic Survey Form from Carbon Registry Thailand (CRT).

CRT will do brief due diligence to survey project.

CRT will pre-confirm the qualification of the project and fees (fees in advance or pay with carbon credit after issued).

Contract Sign between project owner and CRT.

CRT conduct the survey, audit, verification, and certification. (In One Month, Time).

06

Carbon Credit Issued to project owner, and fee payment (in carbon credit) to CRT.
