Carbon Registry Thailand (CRT) Collaborates with Malaysia Forestry Fund (MFF) and FELDA to Advance Sustainable Carbon Initiatives
Putrajaya, March 7, 2025 – Carbon Registry Thailand (CRT), a subsidiary of Star Century Group, participated in a pivotal meeting with the Malaysia Forestry Fund (MFF) and the Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA) to explore opportunities for collaboration in developing nature-based carbon credit standards, establishing an innovative carbon marketplace, and advancing Shariah-compliant carbon credit mechanisms.

The delegation was led by Muhammad Rashidul Amin, Deputy Director of the Corporate Strategy Department at FELDA.
The meeting was chaired by Dato’ Shah Redza Hussein, CEO of MFF, who shared expert insights on the evolution of nature-based carbon standards and the key challenges in implementing sustainable carbon initiatives. Dato’ Shah emphasized, “Forests are not just trees; they encompass biodiversity and communities, forming a critical part of our sustainability efforts.”
During the discussion, Senior Director Suhaini Haron of MFF presented the Forest Conservation Certification Protocol (FCC) and the Forest Carbon Offset (FCO) Mechanism, highlighting Malaysia’s strategic approach to leveraging forestry for carbon sequestration and environmental sustainability.
Representing Star Century Group, Group CEO Mr. Alex Wan and Head of Business Development Mr. QiQi Wang shared their perspectives on carbon credit valuation and expressed their strong support for MFF’s strategic initiatives. CRT reaffirmed its commitment to working alongside MFF and FELDA to enhance the transparency, credibility, and effectiveness of the carbon credit ecosystem.
The meeting concluded with all parties agreeing to continue their collaboration, with the shared objective of establishing a comprehensive and sustainable framework for nature-based carbon credits that aligns with international best practices and Shariah-compliant principles.
