Carbon Registry Thailand Engages with Malaysia’s Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development on Carbon Credit and ESG Initiatives
Parliament Malaysia – Carbon Registry Thailand (CRT), a member of Star Century Group, had the honor of presenting its sustainable business approach in Carbon Credits and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) to Malaysia’s Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (MECD, also known as KUSKOP). The delegation was warmly received by His Honourable Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick.

Led by QiQi Wang, Co-founder and Head of Business Development at Star Century Group, the delegation included Mr. Najmi Haji Mohamed, CEO of Star Century Malaysia, along with Mr. Ahmad Dusuki and Mr. Alex Cheah.

During the discussion, His Honourable Minister reaffirmed the Malaysian government’s commitment to sustainable development and highlighted MECD’s ESG Framework for SMEs, which was introduced last year to promote responsible business practices among small and medium enterprises.
The CRT delegation shared insights into the evolving carbon credit market and proposed strategies to establish a new marketplace for carbon credits in Malaysia. Additionally, CRT and Star Century Malaysia expressed their commitment to providing ESG services to SMEs, ensuring compliance with MECD’s ESG framework and fostering sustainable growth in the region.
