Carbon Registry (Thailand) Signs Memorandum of Cooperation with Royal Thai Army Television and Radio Station (Channel 5)

On March 25, 2024, Carbon Registry (Thailand) Co., Ltd. signed a significant memorandum of cooperation with the Royal Thai Army Television Station (Channel 5) to drive the entertainment industry towards green sustainable development. This memorandum aims to establish new standards for movies, TV dramas, advertisements, and television programs to achieve carbon neutrality. Both parties have agreed to collaborate fully in setting green sustainable development standards for the entertainment industry, intending to inspire and lead the industry towards sustainability, including carbon neutrality in films, TV dramas, advertisements, and TV programs. Furthermore, innovative activity formats such as concerts, music festivals, and dance competitions will be utilized to promote and advocate for eco-friendly environmental principles, allowing participation from all segments of society. General Niran Srikacha, Director-General of the Royal Thai Army Television Station, stated that the station has a framework and intention to be a creative media outlet to educate and raise public understanding about low carbon and ESG towards the goal of going green together.  Mr. Alexander Wan, Group CEO and Founder of Carbon Registry, expressed anticipation for this collaboration, emphasizing that carbon neutrality will be achieved through the carbon emission indicators generated by Carbon Registry’s promoted carbon emission calculation method, directly supporting the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) initiative. The signing of this memorandum of cooperation will pave the way for Thailand’s entertainment industry to enter a new era of green sustainable development.
